The Fox and the Crow
Once upon a time, in a lush green meadow, there stood a tall tree. One sunny day, a cunning fox happened to pass by the tree and noticed a crow perched on one of its branches.
The crow held a piece of cheese in its beak and seemed to be enjoying it. The fox, tempted by the sight of the delicious cheese, decided to play a trick on the crow.
"Good day, dear crow!" said the fox with a sly smile. "You look magnificent today, and I'm sure your voice is just as beautiful. Would you honor me with a song?"
Flattered by the fox's compliments, the crow couldn't resist showing off its singing voice. As it opened its beak to sing, the cheese fell to the ground.
Quick as lightning, the fox snatched up the cheese and ran off into the forest, leaving the crow feeling foolish and betrayed.
The moral of the story is:
Beware of flattery and deceit. Not everyone who compliments you has good intentions. Always be cautious and think carefully before trusting others.
