The Ugly Duckling

Once upon a time, on a farm in the countryside, a mother duck sat on her nest of eggs, waiting for them to hatch.

When the eggs finally hatched, all but one of the ducklings were fluffy and yellow. The last duckling was large, gray, and ugly.

The other animals on the farm teased the ugly duckling, calling it names and refusing to play with it.

Feeling sad and lonely, the ugly duckling ran away from the farm and wandered into the wilderness.

As the seasons passed, the ugly duckling grew bigger and stronger, but it remained lonely and unhappy.

One day, as winter turned to spring, the ugly duckling saw a beautiful flock of swans swimming on a lake.

To its surprise, the ugly duckling realized that it was no duck at all but a beautiful swan.

The other swans welcomed the ugly duckling into their flock with open wings, and it finally found happiness and acceptance.

Moral of the story: Beauty is not always what it seems, and true beauty comes from within.
