The Lion and the Mouse
Once upon a time, in the heart of a dense jungle, there lived a mighty lion. He was feared by all the animals and considered himself the king of the jungle.
One day, while taking a nap under a shady tree, the lion was awakened by the scurrying of a tiny mouse across his paw. Enraged by the disturbance, the lion caught the mouse in his mighty paw.
The mouse, trembling with fear, begged for mercy. "Please spare my life, mighty lion," the mouse pleaded. "I am small and weak, but one day, I may be able to help you in return."
The lion laughed at the idea that such a tiny creature could ever help him. But he was in a generous mood and decided to let the mouse go.
Months passed, and one day, the lion found himself trapped in a hunter's net. Roaring in distress, he thrashed about, but the net only tightened around him.
Hearing the lion's cries, the mouse rushed to the scene. Using his sharp teeth, the mouse gnawed through the ropes of the net, setting the lion free.
The lion was amazed and grateful to the mouse for saving his life. He realized that even the smallest creatures can make a big difference.
The moral of the story is:
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Always treat others with compassion and respect, for you never know when you may need their help.
