The Crow and the Peacock
Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a crow and a peacock. The crow was small and plain, with black feathers, while the peacock was large and magnificent, with vibrant, colorful plumage.
Every day, the peacock would proudly display its beautiful feathers, strutting around the forest with elegance and grace. The other animals would gather around to admire its beauty, showering it with compliments.
Feeling envious of the peacock's beauty and attention, the crow approached the peacock one day and said, "Oh magnificent peacock, your feathers are truly stunning. But I cannot help but feel sad that I do not possess such beauty."
The peacock, feeling proud and arrogant, replied, "Why do you compare yourself to me, little crow? You may not have colorful feathers like mine, but you possess your own unique charm and intelligence."
But the crow remained unconvinced. Determined to be as beautiful as the peacock, it searched the forest for anything that could enhance its appearance. Finally, it found some discarded feathers of various colors.
The crow collected the feathers and carefully attached them to its own dull plumage, creating a makeshift tail. Excitedly, it flew to where the peacock was strutting and proudly displayed its new feathers.
However, instead of admiration, the other animals burst into laughter at the sight of the crow's mismatched and awkward feathers. The peacock, seeing this, approached the crow with kindness.
"Dear crow," said the peacock, "True beauty comes from within. Embrace who you are and be proud of your uniqueness. You do not need colorful feathers to be admired."
Realizing the wisdom in the peacock's words, the crow removed the fake feathers and embraced its natural appearance. From that day on, the crow lived happily, knowing that true beauty lies not in outward adornment, but in being true to oneself.
The end.
