The Father and His Three Sons
Once upon a time, in a quaint village nestled between rolling hills, there lived a wise and loving father with his three sons.
The eldest son, John, was strong and adventurous. He spent his days exploring the forests and climbing the tallest trees.
The second son, David, was gentle and compassionate. He had a knack for befriending animals and caring for injured birds.
The youngest son, Michael, was clever and curious. He enjoyed solving puzzles and inventing new contraptions from spare parts.
Despite their different personalities, the father loved each of his sons dearly and wished for their happiness and success.
One day, the father gathered his sons around him and said, "My dear children, I have grown old, and soon it will be time for me to depart this world. But before I go, I want to impart to you a valuable lesson."
With that, the father handed each of his sons a small bundle of sticks. "Try to break these sticks," he instructed.
John, the eldest, attempted to break his bundle first, but no matter how hard he tried, the sticks remained intact.
Next, David took his turn. With a gentle touch, he tried to snap the sticks apart, but they held firm.
Finally, it was Michael's turn. Instead of trying to break the sticks individually, he carefully unwrapped the bundle and separated each stick. Then, one by one, he snapped them easily.
The father smiled at his sons and said, "My dear children, like these sticks, you are stronger together than you are apart. Remember to support and rely on each other, for that is the true essence of family."
And from that day forth, the three sons understood the importance of unity and stood by each other through thick and thin, honoring their father's wisdom for generations to come.
